JISAO held its spring 2008 quarterly meeting of all personnel on Friday June 20th. Held on UW campus for the first time--at the Fisheries Sciences Building--topics included staff recognition, update on outreach activities and included a talk from Dave Butterfield on his group's research on hydrothermal vents. There was also a Q & A with JISAO director Tom Ackerman--the main topics of which were the new policy on JISAO principal investigator status, and a discussion of the UW's new College of the Environment.
