Josiah Mault

Assistant State Climatologist

Josiah MaultJosiah Mault, Assistant State Climatologist, holds a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington and began working for the Office of the Washington State Climatologist (OWSC) as an undergraduate in 2005, and is currently a UW professional staff research scientist. He is involved in assisting with various operations and projects at OWSC, including CoCoRaHS, data analysis, developing user applications for exploring Washington’s climate,, and the monthly newsletter.

Outside of work, Josiah enjoys many activities including skiing, softball, hiking, observing the weather, working on computers, and occasionally playing his Alto Saxophone, which he played extensively as a former member of the Husky Marching Band for 4 years.

This fall Josiah is leaving JISAO/UW to take a position as Energy Analyst for a wind energy consulting firm, DNV Global Energy Concepts in Lowell, MA. We will all miss him and wish him well in his new life on the east coast!
